SpeedSmart introduce their speed awareness course
SpeedSmart are proud to introduce their speed awareness course. Aimed at a younger demographic, the speed awareness course will teach those new to the road how to be a better driver.
After passing their test, new drivers are on probation. This probation period lasts for two years. If during these two years the new driver picks up 6 or more penalty points they are disqualified from driving. This means that they would have to retake their test. It also highlights the importance for new drivers to behave as safely as possible.
It is a well known fact that young drivers are at a high risk on our roads. One in five new drivers have an accident within 6 months of passing their driving test.
SpeedSmart have put together a speed awareness course that will teach new driver how to behave as safely as they can. Temptations such as drink and mobile phone, as well as late night driving and music can cause all kinds of distractions. It is therefore important to demonstrate the risks involved to young drivers.
Our speed awareness course is delivered over a concise 2 hour session. The course is interactive, built around group discussions with an aim to delve into the psychology behind certain actions and types of driving behaviour.
